29 Apr – Kevin Hart, one of the biggest names and most fashionable people in comedy, has signed on to star in a Universal Pictures film.

The funny man is set to star in a reboot of 1988's Dan Aykroyd and John Candy-starrer, "The Great Outdoors", according to Deadline.

The original film, written by John Hughes and directed by Howie Deutch, revolved around Roman Craig (Candy) and his family, whose relaxing camping trip gets interrupted by his annoying brother-in-law (Aykroyd).

Hart will also be producing the new film under the banner of his Hartbeat Productions along with Michael De Luca through his very own Michael De Luca Productions. The script will be written by Randall Green.

The film has barely begun its pre-production process and thus, has no release date yet.

Now, all that's left to look for is a director and a co-star for Hart, which probably won't be too hard, since it looks like everyone wants to star in a film alongside the famed comedian.

Hart has had a busy few years, starring in films with other well-known Hollywood actors and comedians, such as Will Ferrell ("Get Hard"), Josh Gad ("The Wedding Ringer"), Ice Cube ("Ride Along" and "Ride Along 2") and Dwayne Johnson ("Central Intelligence" and the upcoming "Jumanji").

He also lent his voice in a couple of animated films, "The Secret Life of Pets", and the yet-to-be-released "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie".
