24 Jul – You may remember her as Catwoman from Tim Burton's "Batman Returns" and now Michelle Pfeiffer is ready to take on another role in another superhero movie. Specifically, the 59-year-old actress will be playing Janet van Dyne, the wife of inventor Hank Pym, in "Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp", The Verge reports. The news was revealed yesterday by producer Kevin Feige at the San Diego Comic-Con. Pfeiffer's character, Van Dyne, was the original person to take on the superhero persona The Wasp, who was briefly seen during a flashback sequence in 2015's "Marvel's Ant-Man". Readers of the Marvel comics would also recognise Van Dyne as one of the founding members of The Avengers. Apart from Pfeiffer, three additional cast members were also announced: Laurence Fishburne ("The Matrix", "John Wick: Chapter 2"), Hannah John-Kamen ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens", "Tomb Raider") and Randall Park ("The Interview", "The House"). Fishburne will be playing Dr. Bill Foster, whose alter-ego Black Goliath possesses powers similar to Ant-Man, enabling him to increase his size to gigantic proportions. John-Kamen's character in the movie will go by the name Ghost and Park's character will be Agent Jimmy Woo. With Peyton Reed returning to direct, the sequel will also see Paul Rudd reprising his role as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Peña as Luis and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. "Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp" is releasing in cinemas in July 2018.
