25 Aug – Sony's "The Equalizer 2" has just revealed its leading actor to be none other than Ashton Sanders who starred in the 2017 Oscar winning movie, "Moonlight". To be helmed by "The Magnificent Seven" director Antoine Fuqua, the sequel will have Sanders joining the cast of Denzel Washington, Melissa Leo and Bill Pullman, who will each be reprising their roles from the 2014 film, as reported by Deadline. Pedro Pascal from "Narcos" and "Game of Thrones" will also be on board as the movie's villain. Based on the 1980s crime drama series, "The Equalizer" saw Washington as a retired CIA black ops operative Robert McCall, who faked his death to live a quiet life outside of crime. However, everything goes wrong when a young girl named Teri (played by Chloë Grace Moretz) comes for his help, forcing McCall out of his self-imposed retirement to be The Equalizer once again.
