South Korea's tvN Movies launches in Malaysia


Ji Chang-wook, the star of "Fabricated City", is coming to Malaysia to attend
tvN Movies launch event.

7 Apr – This April, the world's first and only Korean Blockbuster movie channel, tvN Movies, is coming to Malaysia!

tvN Movies wants to introduce Korean movies to overseas audiences by showcasing the best of the best – the top grossing, all-time favourite and award-winning Korean films – on their channel.

Once it hits Malaysia, tvN Movies will bring numerous mega-hit films to your TV screens. Over 20 first-run Korean films in first year premiering will be shown exclusively in Malaysia.

All movies shown on tvN Movies will have English, Simplified Chinese and Bahasa Melayu subtitles for its multi-racial Malaysian audience.

It will only be available on HyppTV's channel 222 and on the HyppTV Everywhere mobile app. tvN Movies also comes with the catch-up and time-shift function with subscription options through various subscription packs.

More good news! To celebrate the launch of tvN Movies, "Fabricated City" star Ji Chang-wook will fly in to Malaysia to give fans the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact and take photos with the Korean heartthrob.

On 8 April, the actor will be attending the launch event of tvN Movies as well as the gala premiere of "Fabricated City", which is slated to open in cinemas this 20 April, in Kuala Lumpur.

tvN Movies was previously launched in Singapore in January 2017. After Malaysia, it is expected to be launched in other Southeast Asian territories including the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia within this year.
