13 Apr – Even though Sylvester Stallone has officially left the "Expendables" franchise, he will not be running away from his starring role in the "Escape Plan" franchise. Deadline reports that Randall Emmett and George Furla, the CEOs of Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films, have just greenlit a third film and that Stallone is set to return as Ray Breslin in "Escape Plan 3". The deal was confirmed even before cameras stopped rolling for "Escape Plan 2: Hades". Stallone has recently wrapped filming "Escape Plan 2: Hades", and the script was penned by Miles Chapman, just as he did for the first movie and will do for the third. The sequel was directed by Steven C. Miller, in place of Mikael Hafstrom who directed the first movie, and Miller will return to direct the third. The first film, released in 2013, starring both Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, grossed over USD137 million worldwide. The release dates are yet to be announced for "Escape Plan 2: Hades" and "Escape Plan 3".
