12 Dec – Just a couple of months after it was announced that Sylvester Stallone is entering the ring as a director for the upcoming "Creed 2", now comes news that he's thrown in the towel. The director's spot is not left vacant, however, as Variety reports that Steven Caple Jr. ("The Land") is stepping in to helm the sequel. It was stated that Caple Jr. was personally chosen by Stallone and co-star Michael B. Jordan, after Stallone decided that he was not doing the directing himself. "Mike, Sly, and Tessa are extraordinarily talented and bring something special to today's culture. I look forward to joining the family and continuing the precedent set by this franchise's alumni of incredible filmmakers," said Caple Jr.
