13 Jul – The Scarlett Johansson-starring "Black Widow" will give fans a look into the Russian spy-turned-superhero's life before whatever events that took place in "Marvel's The Avengers". That's because the standalone Black Widow movie is reportedly going to be a prequel, set before the 2012 Avengers movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This means it's going to be in the same vein as Brie Larson-starrer "Captain Marvel", MCU's first female-led comic book movie, which will also be a prequel, set in the '90s. Not much is known yet about the plot for "Black Widow". The most recent draft is penned by Jac Schaeffer, who was tapped to write the script back in January.
