7 Mar – Academy award-winning "Call Me By Your Name" is revealed to be getting a sequel. Director Luca Guadagnino revealed the details and plans in the making of the sequel after it won the Best Adapted Screenplay award at the recent 90th Academy Awards. Guadagnino indicated that not only are they now focusing on the sequel, but there could be more movies in the pipeline to follow. According to Movie Web, the story is already under development and it will take a place many years after the events of the first movie, with Oliver (Armie Hammer) and Elio (Timothee Chalamet) travelling the world together.
