30 Jan – Hong Kong actor-comedian Dayo Wong recently denied that he used his "friendship card" to get numerous superstars to make cameos in his new movie, "Agent Mr. Chan".

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor, who promoted the new movie with co-star Charmaine Sheh recently, admitted that stars like Sammi Cheng, Miriam Yeung, and Michael Hui did make cameo appearances in the movie, but that he wasn't the one with the authority to make such a decision.

"In the movie, our characters have to help two superstars in trouble, so I was thinking of the two actors who should be playing them. But the producer and the director felt that we should go and find real superstars to do it," he said.

Dayo admitted that he was skeptical at first, adding that that he believed that no superstar would want to appear in his movie.

"I never expected that they found two real superstars. Then we got more and more coming in. So yes, I really didn't call in any favours. I just think everyone came to rescue me. I really am grateful," he said.

The upcoming movie will be in cinemas beginning 16 February.
