25 Apr – Disney is hard at work at remaking its classic animated movies and now they might have an Academy Award winner to lead one of their upcoming ones. Disney Film Facts reported that Brie Larson is being eyed for the title role in a live-action "Snow White" spin-off movie called "Rose Red". The fictional character of Rose Red is actually Snow White's sister according to the classic German fairytale created by the Brothers Grimm, "Snow-White and Rose-Red". This is not to be mistaken with the other Snow White centered story, "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" which coincidentally will have its own live-action movie with Erin Cressida Wilson attached to write the screenplay.
"Rose Red" is said to take place after Snow White falls into a deep slumber towards the end of the original story which causes her sister to set off on a journey with the seven dwarfs to find a way to break the curse and bring her back to life. Disney's wish to cast Larson makes much sense since she is already quite familiar with the House Of Mouse as she is currently in the middle of shooting 2019's "Captain Marvel". "Rose Red" is among the many Disney live-adaptations that are currently in development which also includes "Aladdin", "Dumbo", "Mulan", and many more.
