12 Apr – Disney has cast yet another Chinese actor for the live-action adaptation of the 1998 animated movie, "Mulan". Deadline is reporting that Donnie Yen, of "Ip Man" fame, will be joining Disney's next live-action remake in a mentor type role named Commander Tung. The character is brand new, created exclusively for this version of the movie, as the original animated version did not feature any mentor character for Mulan (unless Mushu the dragon counts?). Yen is set to star alongside Liu Yifei who will play the titular role, with Niki Caro attached to direct.
