5 Sep – It's been almost a decade since we last saw Henry Cavill on the small screen but that's about to change soon. Come 2019, the English actor is making his comeback to TV series in an upcoming Netflix adaptation of "The Witcher". The series' page on Netflix's website states that the current title is only a working title and so far only Cavill is listed as the cast. The 35-year-old will be portraying Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter who "struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts". The show will be based on Andrzej Sapkowski's stories and novels. It is set to be filmed in Eastern Europe and will be eight episodes long. News of the fantasy series being adapted into a Netflix series first broke in March. At the time, there were no stars attached to the project yet but it was revealed by the TV series writer, executive producer and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich that 15 characters will be adapted for the small screen, out of which only Geralt has been cast.
