23 Aug – Just when things seem to be taking off for "Bond 25", it hits a pretty major roadblock. The action movie currently has no director, again, as British filmmaker Danny Boyle has exited the project. An update on the official Twitter account of "James Bond" yesterday revealed: "Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct "Bond 25"." Boyle was taking over directing duty from Sam Mendes ("Skyfall", "Spectre") but issues with the script may have led to his departure. The Guardian reported that the producers were so keen on securing Boyle that they decided to let him direct based on the script he wrote with his long-term collaborator John Hodge, instead of the already completed screenplay from longtime "James Bond" writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
