23 Feb – Joss Whedon has officially exited the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) as he will no longer direct and write "Batgirl". Whedon, who previously reshot additional scenes for "Justice League", revealed that his decision to step down from DCEU's second female superhero project was because of him realising he didn't have a story to write for the titular character. ""Batgirl" is such an exciting project, and Warners/DC such collaborative and supportive partners, that it took me months to realise I really didn't have a story," he said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.
