Patrick Stewart in talks to join "Charlie's Angels" reboot

Patrick Stewart is in final negotiations to join the upcoming "Charlie's Angels" reboot.

18 Sep – Either Patrick Stewart and Elizabeth Banks will be sharing the same identity in the upcoming reboot of "Charlie's Angels" or their characters will somehow be related; our money's on the latter.

This is a little food for thought for fans since The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Stewart is in final talks to join the reboot as a character called Bosley.

Of course, it's been previously reported that Banks will also be portraying a character bearing the same name.

This will be the first time that multiple Bosleys will be featured on screen, be it on TV or in a movie. Past adaptations have always featured only one Bosley, though not always the same one, as in the case of the previous movie adaptations.

Bosley serves as the face of the never-seen Charlie Townsend, who owns the agency the three private investigators, or Angels, work for.

The 2000 movie, starring Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore, featured Bill Murray as John Bosley while its 2003 sequel had Bernie Mac playing the brother Jimmy Bosley.

The reboot will star Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the Angels. Aside from playing one of the Bosleys, Banks will also be producing and directing.

"Charlie's Angels" is targeting a 27 September 2019 theatrical release, the same year that Patrick Stewart's "The Kid Who Would Be King" will also be released.

Other than his big screen works, the English actor will also be reprising his Star Fleet Capt. Jean-Luc Picard role for the new "Star Trek" TV series airing on CBS All-Access.
