6 Oct – Ever since young actress Sophia Lillis faced up to evil in the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King's "It", the 16-year-old has been landing lead roles in various big screen titles. The latest is as the titular girl in "Hansel and Gretel", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The fantasy thriller is a reimagining of the Brothers Grimm tale about a young girl and her little brother who wander deep into a dark wood, desperately looking for food and work. Instead there they stumble upon 'a nexus of terrifying evil', as the official synopsis describes. Osgood Perkins ("The Blackcoat's Daughter", "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House"), who co-wrote the script with Rob Hayes, will be helming the movie for Orion Pictures.
