23 Oct – "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot has excitedly tweeted that the sequel is "back to its rightful home". Or, basically, it means "Wonder Woman 1984" now has yet another new release date. Gadot posted on her Twitter today: "Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!" This puts the sequel back in the same release month as the first movie, which was released on 2 June 2017 in the US. It is mentioned by The Hollywood Reporter that the new release date the sequel has taken over was originally saved for Mark Wahlberg's "Six Billion Dollar Man", which has been taken off the release schedule for now.
