Daniel Craig will continue "Bond 25" filming after ankle surgery

Daniel Craig has to undergo surgery following his injury last week.

23 May – After sustaining an injury following a fall on set last week, "Bond 25" star Daniel Craig now has to undergo surgery on his ankle.

An update posted on the movie's official Twitter stated: "Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica."

It also assures fans that despite the slight hiccup, there are no changes to the release date and the movie will still open in cinemas in April 2020.

Craig is expected to return to set to continue the filming after two weeks of rest following his surgery. In the meantime, production will continue without involving the English actor.

The 51-year-old sustained the injury when he slipped and fell while running during a scene. He was flown out of Jamaica to the US and the scheduled filming at London's Pinewood Studios last weekend had to be cancelled.
