15 Mar - Run, Forrest, run! All the way to India, where Bollywood star Aamir Khan is set to remake "Forrest Gump" into a Hindi-language movie. The 54-year-old actor celebrated his birthday yesterday with the announcement of the remake, which will be titled "Laal Singh Chadha".
Khan said that they have bought the movie rights from Paramount Pictures and will begin production on it this September. No other cast members have been announced at the moment but it is known that Advait Chandan, who was Khan's manager before making his directorial debut with 2017's "Secret Superstar", will be helming the remake. "Laal Singh Chadha" is currently slated to make its run in cinemas next year. The original "Forrest Gump", adapted from Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, was released in 1994. It won Hanks a Best Actor accolade at the 67th Academy Awards, where the comedy drama also took home Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects and Best Film Editing.
