16 Feb – Hot off his "Aquaman" success, Jason Momoa is now in talks to join the star-studded cast of Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi movie, "Dune". The Hollywood Reporter brings word that if the actor says yes, he will be playing the character Duncan Idaho. Idaho, a swordsmaster who is very loyal to the Atreides family, ended up appearing in all of author Frank Herbert's original novels after becoming a fan favourite. He was portrayed by Richard Jordan in the 1984 movie adaptation directed by David Lynch. "Dune" is adapted from Herbert's 1965 sci-fi novel of the same name. Villeneuve's reboot is set to be a more loyal adaptation of the novel. Lynch's version was a box office disappointment but it managed to garner a cult following over the years.
