12 Jan – Here's some supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news for Mary Poppins fans, there just might be a third movie coming up! Following the success of "Mary Poppins Returns", director Rob Marshall confirmed via The Sun UK that a follow-up is now in its "early stages" of development. "It is early stages but I will say right now that there were eight books, so there's a lot of great material still to mine. That's what we worked from, those incredible eight books of P.L. Travers. So, you know," he said. It seems that the director is determined to make full use of all the books since he claimed that "Mary Poppins" is heading in the same direction as "Star Wars" and "James Bond", that is, it has plans to expand the franchise by churning out plenty of movies.
