Paul Rudd has accepted the call to join this comedy movie

That's right, Paul Rudd's accepted the "Ghostbusters" call.

29 Jun – Who you gonna call? Well, it just might be Paul Rudd. A video of him announcing that he is now part of the upcoming "Ghostbusters" was recently released on the movie's various social media platforms.

Staying true to the movie's comedic nature, the baby-faced 50-year-old actor joked that he "nearly slimed himself" when he received the good news.

"When I heard that Jason Reitman was going to be doing a new version in the fall, my agents called him and said, "Hey Jason, we hear there's the part of a young, semi-young, strapping man that needs to be cast, who are you going to call?"

"When I heard they were going to call me, well, as you can imagine, I nearly slimed myself. I can't wait to join the cast this fall for "Ghostbusters". In fact, I'm sliming myself right now."

That's another reason to look forward to next summer's "Ghostbusters" then, which will be directed by Jason Reitman and will reportedly have original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver returning.

If you haven't watched the video, here's Paul Rudd talking about his "Ghostbusters" casting:
