Taika Waititi is working on a secret movie, will "Thor 4" be postponed?

Keep calm, God of Thunder, Taika Waititi will be back to direct your fourth movie.

8 Aug – Taika Waititi sure is keeping busy. Even with his "Akira" movie already postponed so he can focus on directing "Thor: Love and Thunder", as it turned out he still has another movie to work on before returning to the MCU.

What's the movie, you ask? No one knows.

Variety brings word that Waititi will be writing and directing a secret movie that is set to be distributed by Fox Searchlight.

It's so called a secret since no one knows the title and what the plot is about yet. The only known details so far are Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish will be producing under their Imaginarium banner, along with Garrett Basch.

The mysterious new movie is scheduled to begin shooting this fall.

Will this affect the schedule for the fourth "Thor" movie? At the moment, all signs point to no since production on that will only begin sometime in 2020. Since the magnitude of this secret project reportedly won't be as big as "Akira", which was what forced the adaptation of the anime to be pushed back, it might not take long to wrap up.

Announcing secret movies seems to be a recurring trend lately, since it was just last week that news broke about another big director working on a hush-hush project. Reportedly, James Wan is directing a horror movie before going back to the DC Universe for the sequel to "Aquaman".

Meanwhile, producer Serkis is also returning to the director's seat for his third directorial effort, which is no longer a secret since his involvement in "Venom 2" as a helmer is already confirmed.
