24 Aug – As if fans' minds weren't blown enough from the fact that Michael Keaton will be reprising his Batman role in the Ezra Miller-starring "The Flash", it's been revealed recently that there will be two Batmans in the upcoming movie!

Director Andy Muschietti ("Mama", "It", "It: Chapter Two"), who takes a break from horror to helm a superhero movie instead, told Vanity Fair that Keaton's Batman will be joined by Ben Affleck's, well, Batfleck.

"He's a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck's Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven't seen before," he said.

"It's Barry's movie, it's Barry's story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that's one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That's where the Affleck Batman kicks in."

It also makes sense to bring Batfleck into the movie since for Miller's The Flash a.k.a. Barry Allen, Affleck's version of Bruce Wayne is his universe's "original Batman".

Muschietti stated that Affleck agreed to join the project after receiving the script more than a week ago. As for Keaton's Caped Crusader role, which he reprises from the 1989 Tim Burton-helmed film, Muschietti didn't divulge further on it but did call his part "substantial".

"The Flash" concept art revealed last weekend showing the titular superhero's
team up with Keaton's Batman.

At the DC FanDome held last weekend, the concept art for "The Flash" was revealed. Miller also teased fans with the fact that his scarlet speedster will be donning a new suit.

He wasn't the only one to do so. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also shared his new Black Adam suit. Meanwhile, Zachary Levi's "Shazam! 2" revealed its new title: "Shazam! Fury of the Gods". James Wan didn't reveal much about his upcoming "Aquaman 2", except to say that it will be "a little but more serious".

New trailers for "Wonder Woman 1984", "Justice League: Snyder Cut", "The Batman" and "The Suicide Squad" were also revealed, showing off Kristen Wiig as the villain Cheetah, the new cut from director Zack Snyder, Robert Pattinson in his first official trailer as the titular caped superhero and the main characters of James Gunn's new squad, respectively.

A trailer for the video games "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" and "Gotham Knights" were also revealed.

On the small screen side, the seventh season of Grant Gustin's "The Flash" and the third season of "Titans" were announced, while Neil Gaiman confirmed that the Netflix show adaptation of his comic book series "Sandman" is still in the works.
