1 Apr – Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been busy doing Instagram Live Q&A with his fans, keeping them updated on his upcoming movies.

He talked about the long-gestating "Black Adam", which sounds like it might not be able to go into production this summer due the global COVID-19 pandemic that has shut down film productions.

"I'm very excited about Black Adam by the way, I've been training very, very hard for that role. We were supposed to start shooting it in the summer, in July, and we'll see. I'm not quite too sure if it's still gonna happen, or, at least, if we'll still start shooting in July but it will all work out the way it's meant to work out," the actor said, as quoted by JoBlo.

Last he updated fans about the movie, it was back in November when he announced the release date. Considering how things are at the moment, it is not certain whether the movie will still open in North American cinemas on 22 December 2021.

Will "Black Adam" still open in 2021? Time will tell.

He also confirmed that the sequel to last year's "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw" is in the works.

"We are developing now the next film, the next [Hobbs & Shaw] movie, and I'm pretty excited about it...Just gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we're going to go," he said, as per Screen Rant's report.

It's no surprise that the "Fast and Furious" spinoff was getting a sequel, since it made USD760.4 million worldwide on a USD200 million budget.

He and co-star Jason Statham will be reprising their titular roles as Hobbs and Shaw, respectively. No words on the other cast members but Vanessa Kirby, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart could be expected to return.

Most likely this sequel will only hit cinemas in 2022 or beyond, as the current pandemic has forced release schedules to be delayed. Even this month's "Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga" had to be postponed to April 2021 due to cinema closures.
