30 Jan – If there is one thing to look forward to in the upcoming "G.I. Joe" spin-off, "Snake Eyes", it would be Henry Golding and his co-stars doing their own stunts.

The British-Malaysian actor, who plays the titular character in the new movie, shared that the amount of physical stunts they have done in the film outweighs the CGI effects to the point that he even sustained some injuries filming them.

"I'm not gonna lie - I blew up my hip, I tore my quad, my meniscus, like, tore," he said.

However, Golding stated that it was worth it in order to bring a level of tenacity to his performance.

"We have an authenticity to this. Which no one will have ever seen in a G.I. Joe franchise ever," he said, adding that the action choreographer for the movie is the same person who did "Rurouni Kenshin".

The upcoming film, which serves as the origin story for the character that first appeared on the big screen in 2009's "The Rise of the Cobra", also co-stars Andrew Koji, Iko Uwais, Ursula Corbero, as well as Australian darling Samara Weaving - who will play Snake Eyes' love interest, Scarlett.

On the other hand, Golding also stars in Guy Ritchie's new action-comedy, "The Gentleman", which will be in cinemas this 13 February 2020.
