21 Jan – It is confirmed. Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro are set to star in Martin Scorsese's new movie. The news was announced by DiCaprio himself while he was onstage at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards to present the Life Achievement Award to de Niro, saying that the two of them will be collaborating for the first time in the film adaptation of David Grann's "Killers of the Flower Moon". The original best-selling 2017 non-fiction book revolves around the investigation of the 1920s murders of several Native Americans of the Osage Nation, following the discovery of oil deposits beneath their land in Oklahoma.
Both De Niro and DiCaprio have been constant collaborators in Scorsese's movies. De Niro worked with Scorsese in a number of films including "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull" while DiCaprio has starred in the auteur's biopic "The Aviator" and "Gangs of New York". The two also made guest appearances as fictionalised versions of themselves in Scorsese's 2015 short film, "The Audition".
