23 Sep – The Louis Koo-starring "A Witness Out of the Blue" has nabbed an award at the 30th Edition of the Focus on Asia Fukuoka International Film Festival.

As reported on Mingpao, the movie received the Fukuoka Audience Award on 22 September, much to the elation of director Andrew Fung.

Speaking to the media about the win, Andrew, who was unable to go to Fukuoka to accept the accolade in person due to the pandemic, stated that he was honoured to be awarded.

"Hong Kong movies are currently going through a tough time. But this award is a good encouragement. It makes me believe that one's hard work can be noticed by audiences in different parts of the world," he said.

As for Louis Koo, who plays the lead, the actor stated, "A good movie will always be supported by the audience."

The film also co-stars Louis Cheung, Jessica Hsuan, Cherry Ngan, and Philip Keung. It tells the story of a robber who becomes a prime suspect of a new murder case, in which the only witness is a talking parrot.
