23 Jun – Anne Hathaway is set to star in an adaptation of the Robinne Lee novel, "The Idea of You".

The upcoming movie will be penned by actress and filmmaker Jennifer Westfeldt ("Friends with Kids", "Kissing Jessica Stein"), to be produced by Cathy Shulman and Gabrielle Union through their respective film outfits, Welle Entertainment and I'll Have Another Productions.

The movie tells the story of 40 year-old single mother Sophie - whose ex-husband has ditched her for a younger woman. While accompanying her teenage daughter, Isabelle, to the Coachella music festival, she met and developed a relationship with the 24 year-old lead singer of her daughter's favourite boy band. You can imagine how messy and complicated it becomes when Isabelle thinks that she herself is in love with the singer.

The movie will be based on the Robinne Lee's book of the same name

First published in 2017, the book suddenly became popular again in the past year as an escapist read during the pandemic.

Hathaway was last seen in the rom-com "Locked Down" and the fantasy comedy, "The Witches" based on Roald Dahl's book of the same name.
