22 Apr – British singer Boy George recently announced that his upcoming biopic will begin filming this summer in London, though no one yet has been cast to play him.
In a video he shared on social media, George stated that the movie will be titled, "Karma Chameleon" - in reference to his most popular song - and that Daniel Mays will be playing his father.
Written and to be directed by Sacha Gervasi ("Hitchcock"), the film will revolve around the singer, real name George O'Dowd, and his journey from his humble beginnings in an Irish working-class family to his stardom as the frontman of Culture Club alongside band members Jon Moss, Roy Hay, and Mikey Craig.
Culture Club sold more than 100 million singles and 50 million albums since its debut in 1981, and is well known for hits including "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" and "Karma Chameleon". George himself became popular for his androgynous unapologetic style.
