21 Oct - After several live-action movies, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" is now coming to Disney+ in an animated version.

The upcoming series recently released its official trailer, which reveals a more true-to-book depiction of its characters, with the characters resembling the illustrations from the Jeff Kinney's popular novel series of the same name.

The series, like the books, follow the adventures of "wimpy" middle school student, Greg Heffley as he learns to deal with life's struggles.

The first live-action film was released in 2010, titled "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", followed by three more instalments with the last one, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" released in 2017. The first three movies star Zachary Gordon as Greg, while the 2017 film has Jason Drucker replacing the said actor.
