27 Oct – It looks like Benedict Cumberbatch can't be retiring his cape for the time being, as it was revealed that the upcoming "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" will be doing more reshoots.

The actor, who plays the titular Marvel superhero, confirmed the news recently, saying that the additional shoots will be done throughout November and December.

Without elaborating more on the reason for the reshoots, Cumberbatch stated that it was part of the process to make the movie "even better".

"Very excited. Sam Raimi's at the helm so expect extraordinary things. And yeah we're making it even better: we've got some reshoots coming up in November and December, and it comes out in May. And I guess you'll have to wait until then... That's all you get," he said.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the film was among several Marvel titles of which release dates have been delayed two months, with the original plan to release it in March being bumped up to May 2022.

Production was initially planned to begin filming in November last year, but had to be postponed to January due to the lockdown in the UK, due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases.

The movie co-stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mondo, Rachel McAdams as Dr Christine Palmer, and Benedict Wong as Wong.
