24 Sep – The third instalment of JK Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts" franchise has finally found its new release date.

The new movie, which has been officially titled "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore", will be releasing on Easter weekend next year - that is 15 April 2022.

It is noted that the movie was originally scheduled for release on 15 July of next year.

The movie will be competing with other Easter weekend entries, including "DreamWorks Animation's "The Bad Guys" and the Sandra Bullock-Channing Tatum adventure movie, "The Lost City of D".

The movie has been marred with controversies since the release of the second movie - with fans questioning the inconsistencies with the movie in relation to the "Harry Potter" universe, Rowling's controversial stance on the transgender community, and the firing of Johnny Depp (who plays Gellert Grindelwald), who had since been replaced by Mads Mikkelsen.
