6 Apr – "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn has recently confirmed that the third instalment of the Marvel franchise will begin filming this year. The filmmaker shared the news in a 5 April tweet as a response to a question from a netizen about the filming of the said movie that he simply replied, "This year."
There has been no official announcement as to when the movie will be released, but it's tentatively scheduled to premiere in 2023. Gunn previously planned for the movie to be released in 2020, but had to cancel that particular plan due to the pandemic. He had since been focusing on writing and directing DC's "The Suicide Squad".
