5 Oct – Jamie Lee Curtis continues to sing praises for "Black Widow" star Scarlett Johansson, for daring to go after Disney over breaching her contract.

The actress, who previously wrote her support for Johansson in the September issue of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People, stated that she has always deemed the Marvel star as someone "cool".

"I think what she's doing and saying in this lawsuit is important. And women who speak up are called 'bitches' and 'strident' and men who speak up are called 'heroes.' So I'm going to stand with the women," she said.

In the previous entry for Time, she spoke of Johansson as someone not to be messed with both in films and in real life.

Scarlett and Disney have resolved the dispute just last week

"I recently watched her own the screen as the Black Widow, who exacts revenge on a powerful figure who manipulates (emphasis on man) women to fight for him. And then I saw her brilliant response to a real-life manipulation (same emphasis), when she filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the studio, alleging its decision to release the film simultaneously in theaters and on streaming cost her substantial losses in pay," she wrote.

"Whether as an assassin with a conscience, an actor with an emotional center or, having just given birth to her second child, a fierce mother, the message is clear: Don't f-ck with this mama bear."

It is noted that Johansson and Disney have recently settled the lawsuit, with Disney Studios Chairman Alan Bergman saying that they are looking forward to working together again with the actress in a number of upcoming projects.
