"Jumanji 4" is currently in the early stages of development

4 Mar –After much speculations, Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Production recently confirmed that there will indeed be a fourth instalment of "Jumanji" - also known as the third one of the Dwayne Johnson-led franchise.

Garcia, who produced the previous two movies, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" and "Jumanji: The Next Level", revealed that everything is currently in the earliest stage but that the movie is "100 percent" taking place.

Said Garcia, "You know, we're always having conversations, and that's a family, that entire group if there's ever been. It's hard to imagine or remember a time I've been on a set where it's just a beloved group of cast and crew and actors and that's just one of those things where we know we have a really big idea that we want to do with it."

"We've been discussing it. There's conversations have been going, we're in the process of moving that along. I can't tell you anything, but we do have big plans for it and that's one of our favourite projects to work on and that's cooking away," he added.

It is noted that "Jumanji: The Next Level" ended with the arrival of animals from the game into the real world, not unlike the first 1995 film starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst.

No news as to whether all of the cast members will return to reprise their roles, especially Jack Black, who had earlier expressed his intention to retire from acting.

The first Dwayne Johnson-led franchise was released in 2017, three years following the death of "Jumanji" star Robin Williams. It co-stars Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, with Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman playing their real-life counterpart. The second movie came around two years later in 2019 with similar global success, with the addition of Awkwafina, Rory McCann, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito.
