11 Mar – Sir Kenneth Branagh has been brought in to helm the upcoming Paramount Pictures' new autobiographical project surrounding the British-Australian trio, the Bee Gees.
It is noted that Paramount has acquired life rights to the Gibb family estate back in 2019, as well as the rights to use their classic songs. Bee Gees' surviving member Barry Gibb will also be executive producer and will involve himself actively in the narrative film. The Bee Gees, comprised of Gibb brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice, were among the world's best-selling music artists of all time, having worldwide sales of more than 220 million records during their time. Among their hit songs include "Stayin' Alive", "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart," and "Too Much Heaven."
