27 Apr – A day after the original film won Best International Feature at the Oscars, it was revealed that it has already been acquired for a Hollywood remake starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie, directed by Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg and stars Mads Mikkelsen, was already a sought-after project even before the movie won the aforementioned accolade at the recently held Academy Awards.
DiCaprio reportedly will be playing the role portrayed by Mikkelsen in the original - which has been described by Deadline as "the vulnerable middle-aged man in existential crisis". "Another Round" is a story of four middle-aged friends and teachers who decide to experiment with raising their blood alcohol as a way to make life more interesting, and how their decisions affected them and their families.
