Leonardo DiCaprio shares first look into project about the Osage Reign of Terror

12 May – After a long wait, it looks like Leonardo DiCaprio's new movie, "Killers of the Flower Moon" has finally just begun production.


The actor recently posted a first-look image from the said film, in which he plays the role of Ernest Buckhard, the nephew of a powerful local rancher (Robert DeNiro), who is married to an Osage named Mollie (played by Lily Gladstone).


DiCaprio shares this first look on his official Twitter account

"Killers of the Flower Moon" is a story set in 1920s Oklahoma, and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Midwestern Native American tribe Osage Nation - a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.

The movie, based on David Grann's novel, "Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI", is adapted by Eric Roth ("Forrest Gump", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button").

Produced by DiCaprio's frequent collaborator Martin Scorsese, the movie will be filming in Pawhuska and Fairfax, Oklahoma.


The movie is based on the David Grann's book of the same name
