11 May – Girl-next-door Lily James surprised many recently when she made a 180 degree to transform herself into Pamela Anderson.

The actress recently shared her new image on Instagram, dressed in Anderson's lace-up leather vest look with her signature blonde curls, full lips and dark eye make-up - much to the surprise of many.

With that, she shared Pamela Anderson's famous quote, "It's great to be blonde. With low expectations, it's very easy to surprise people."

Among those who were stunned by the transformation were fellow celebrity friends Gemma Chan, Eiza Gonzalez, Jenna Coleman, and "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Karen Gillan, with the later commenting, "Woah!! This is such a transformation."

James' new look is actually for the upcoming Hulu limited series, "Pam & Tommy", which will revolve around the events following Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's leaked sex tape - the first ever viral video in history.

Aside from Lily James playing the blonde bombshell, Tommy Lee is played by Sebastian Stan, who also received a lot of applause for his look as the Mötley Crüe founder.

Anderson and Lee tied the knot in 1995 after knowing each other for only 96 hours. Following the sex tape leak, the "Baywatch" star sued video distribution company Internet Entertainment Group, before both she and Lee reached a confidential settlement with the company.
