31 May – Miles Teller has recently been cast in the upcoming Paramount series, "The Offer" in replacement of controversial actor Armie Hammer.

The actor, known most for his role in the "Divergent" franchise, will be playing the role of Al Ruddy. "The Offer" is a ten-episode series chronicling the behind-the-scenes story and the making of the hit classic - as told through the eyes of Al Ruddy – who was the executive producer of the hit Francis Ford Coppola film back in 1972.

On the other hand, the actor can be seen next in "Top Gun: Maverick", set for release in November, and Netflix's "Spiderhead" with Chris Hemsworth and director Joseph Kosinski.

Teller is also starring in Tom Cruise's "Top Gun: Maverick"

Hammer was originally cast to play Al Ruddy back in December, but pulled out early this year amid allegations of sexual abuse and cannibalistic fetishism. He had since denied all allegations.

It was early this year that a woman had created an account on Instagram to share gruesome details of her alleged sexual interactions with the actor, and even released multiple screenshots of explicit conversations that she alleged was between Hammer and multiple women via Instagram direct messaging which include rape fantasies and cannibalism.

Following the controversy, Hammer pulled out from a role in the romcom "Shotgun Wedding" opposite Jennifer Lopez. He had issued a statement following his departure from the Jennifer Lopez movie, saying, "I'm not responding to these [expletive] claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for [four] months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic."
