23 Apr – With more and more autobiographical films surrounding musicians in the works, rumour has it that Netflix is interested in such a project as well - and is now nearing a deal to acquire a music biopic for the legendary rock band, KISS.

A source revealed that Norwegian director, Joachim Rønning, known for movies like "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be helming the said project, titled, "Shout It Out Loud" - with band leaders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley to be actively involved behind the scene.

The said biopic will revolve around the band's journey in music, as well as stories of their personal lives. The film is expected to be expedited so it would coincide with KISS' final tour, "End of the Road", which will pick up around the world in 2021.

KISS released their first album in 1974

Established in the early '70s by both Simmons (bassist, co-lead singer) and Stanley (lead singer, rhythm guitar) and joined by drummer Peter Criss and guitarist Ace Frehley, KISS is known for their outrageous stage shows which featured fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. Among their many hit songs include "God of Thunder", "Detroit Rock City", "Beth", and "Rock 'n' Roll All Nite".

A rep for the band stated that negotiations are currently undergoing between the two parties but nothing has been set in stone just yet.
