20 Sep – Following Julianne Hough's apology over her near involvement with the reality show, "The Activist", Priyanka Chopra has now released her own statement of apology for being a part of the now reformatted programme. On 17 September, the actress posted a note of apology which read, "I have been moved by the power of your voices over the past week. At its core, Activism is fuelled by cause and effect, and when people come together to raise their voice about something, there is always an effect. You were heard."
Priyanka was one of the previously announced judges for CBS' new aforementioned reality show, which was originally to challenge six competitors in a variety of activism-themed contests before appearing at a summit of world leaders in Italy. Priyanka was to be one of the judges aside from R&B singer Usher and actress Julianne Hough. However, it received a huge backlash from the public, with many pointing out that the show was against the nature of activism itself. CBS had since change the format into a one-time documentary.
