21 Jan – The producers of "Master" has made a legal demand for compensation from a renowned digital company after several scenes from the movie were leaked, a few days before it was officially released and screened in the cinemas.

According to a report from Times of India, the digital company was tasked to transfer copies of the movies to cinemas abroad and the leak was committed by their employee.

Lalit Kumar, the co-producer of Seven Screen studio, has sent a legal notice to the said company and is demanding a compensation of Rs25 crore for their negligence.


The film was a box-office success with a record breaking collection, considering that only 50% audience capacity was permitted for the cinemas, in compliance to the standard operating procedures (SOP) of social distancing during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the collection for "Master" is expected to increase and is capable to break a new record in the history of Indian film industry.

Starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, "Master" boasts of an amazing lineup of talents such as Mahendra, Arjun Das, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri G Kishan dan Shanthanu.
