9 Jul - Scarlett Johansson is not changing her mind regarding her place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), ten years after she first started playing Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in "Iron Man 2". The actress, who spoke to Variety to promote the new movie recently, reiterated her stance when asked whether or not she will appear in future MCU projects, believing that she is going out on a high note.
It is noted that Johansson's character sacrificed herself in "Avengers: Endgame" to obtain the soul stone. Her new movie, however, is set in a time after 2016's "Captain America: Civil War" and before 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War" - back when Romanoff is still on the run for violation of the Sokovia Accords. For now, the actress will be busy focusing on her second pregnancy and first child with husband, SNL star Colin Jost, whom she married in 2020.
