8 Dec – It has now been confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to the hit Marvel flick, "Shang-Chi". The news came along with reports that its director Destin Daniel Cretton has inked a new deal with Marvel Studios and Hulu's Onyx Collective, with the filmmaker to helm the said sequel as well as a new MCU series for Disney+.
It is noted that the film made USD 432 million at the box office throughout its release since August this year. On the other hand, "Shang-Chi" star Simu Liu had a funny response to the news that there will be movie number two. The actor, seemingly responding to his previous bashers, posted a link to an article about the sequel and tweeted, "Flopped so hard we got a sequel!"
