9 Nov – Despite Dwayne Johnson previously expressing disinterest to return to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, lead actor Vin Diesel is not giving up, turning to social media to persuade the former wrestling champ to make his final return. On 7 November, Diesel posted a screenshot of his character Dom alongside Johnson's Hobbs, and wrote, "My little brother Dwayne... the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don't send well wishes... but the time has come. Legacy awaits."
"I say this out of love... but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle, you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can't be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny," he added. Back in July, following an interview by Vin Diesel about their past conflict on the set of the franchise and that he was approaching the actor with tough love, Johnson told the media that he had a laugh about that. "I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I'll leave it at that. And that I've wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me," he said. In a recent interview, the actor also stated that he has plans for the sequel to "Hobbs & Shaw" - the spinoff of "Fast and Furious", saying that it will be the antithesis of the FF franchise. The "Black Adam" star has yet to respond to the invitation at the time of writing.
