14 Jan – It is only the second week of the year, but Benedict Cumberbatch is truly having a great time - what with his upcoming project with Wes Anderson, the upcoming sequel of "Dr Strange", as well as his seventh nomination at the SAG Awards.

"It's my seventh SAG nomination?" he asked Deadline in surprise, when mentioned about the nomination for his performance in the Jane Campion's movie, "The Power of the Dog", which is now on Netflix. The actor has already secured nomination at the Critics' Choice Awards and the Golden Globes earlier.

"I started this job wanting to earn a living, sure, to practice my craft and make my parents proud, who are both actors, and as they have for who they are as well as their career, garner the respect of my peers. So, this is huge. I feel massively humbled and honoured," he said.

The actor, who is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, will be facing competition from Javier Bardem (Being the Ricardos), Andrew Garfield (tick, tick...BOOM!), Will Smith (King Richard) and Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth).

On the other hand, when asked about his upcoming project with Wes Anderson - an adaptation of Roald Dahl's "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" for Netflix, Cumberbatch stated that he is a bit nervous though over the moon about the collaboration.

"He's wonderful," said the actor about Anderson. "What a rewarding director for audiences, for actors, the style, the work, the aesthetic, and also the heart and soul of him. It's a marvelous time and a very different experience I imagine from working with Jane, but one that's going to be pretty rewarding."

As for his upcoming Marvel superhero flick, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", Cumberbatch stated that the additional photography has recently wrapped up and that the movie will be releasing on 6 May.

The movie is helmed by Sam Raimi, who is no stranger to superhero films, having directed the Tobey Maguire-version of "Spider-Man" in the past.
