The movie will begin shooting in October at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, to be directed by Bassam Tariq.

Aside from Ali, other cast members include Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre, with the likelihood of Kit Harington appearing as his "Eternals" character Dane Whitman.

The upcoming film will be released on 3 November 2023 as part of Phase 5.

Prior to Ali, Snipes played the character three times, from 1998's "Blade", 2002's "Blade II", to 2004's "Blade Trinity".
