Only someone not of this world can stop Black Adam ... or not?

26 Oct – After much speculation, Henry Cavill recently confirmed that yes, he is back as Superman.

The actor announced this news via social media with a video, saying that he had wanted to wait until the weekend to announce the news, but that since many have already watched "Black Adam", he decided to do it anyway.

"I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman and the image you see in this post and what you saw in Black Adam are a very small taste of what's to come," Cavill stated. In the same video, Cavill thanked fans for their support and promises that it will all be rewarded.

It was also reported that a "Superman" sequel starring the actor is already in development, though there are no writer or director attached.

It is noted that Cavill has only one solo Superman movie since 2013, that is "Man of Steel", although he had since appeared in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), "Justice League" (2017), and the Zack Snyder cut of the 2017 movie released last year.

His return as Superman was first speculated after it was revealed that he appeared in the mid-credit scene in the Dwayne Johnson-starrer, "Black Adam".
